CIVIL AVIATION SECURITY UNIT


The Civil Aviation Security Unit (CASU) of the Civil Aviation Department is responsible for ensuring adherence to the legal provisions for civil aviation security and facilitation. It fulfils this responsibility through audits, inspections and surveillance of airport operators, aircraft operators, catering operators, regulated agents, ground handling agencies, known cargo consignors and other stakeholders for which aviation security and facilitation responsibilities have been detailed in the Civil Aviation (Security) Regulations 2019 (CASR 2019) and National Air Transport Facilitation Programme respectively.
