MANDATORY OCCURENCE REPORTING
Mandatory Occurrence Reporting contributes to the prevention of accidents and to the improvement of air safety by ensuring that relevant information on actual and potential safety hazards and deficiencies are reported, compiled, disseminated and analysed efficiently. The safety occurrences are categorized as follows: Ø Aircraft flight operations; Ø Aircraft technical, maintenance and repair; Ø Air navigation services and facilities; Ø Aerodromes and ground services. All occurrences should be reported to the Department of Civil Aviation in accordance to all reportable occurrences and the reporting procedures stated in Ø Section 14 of the Sixth Schedule of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2007; Ø Chapter 4.4 of the Mauritius Civil Airworthiness Requirements; and Ø Chapter 4.22 of the Aerodrome Licensing Manual.
